Key Facts & Figures |
|
| |
Sabaragamuva RSC was established only a few years back as formerly it was part of the
Central RSC. After reorganizing the RSCs in line with provincial boundaries, it was decided to
have a separate RSC for Sabaragamuwa. At present two Assistant General Managers (AGMs)
are working under the Deputy General Manager (DGM-RSC) and are both located in the
respective provinces. Practically the AGM-.Sabaragamuwa is looking after both the O&M and
development functions in Sabaragamuwa Province under the guidance of the DGM- RSC. The
managers (O&M) of Ratnapura and Kegalle regions report directly to the AGM – Sabaragamuwa
for their normal day to day functions.
In general, the DGM is responsible for both O&M and development functions within the RSC.His
main role on O&M would be the overall monitoring and coordination with the HO and line
agencies in order to facilitate smooth operation. The DGM’s involvement in the development
functions specifically in the rehabilitation and augmentation is also quite significant. In addition
budgetary controls are also being done through the DGM’s office. |
