In view of the prevailing dry weather conditions, which have caused water sources to dry up and adversely affected the lives of the public, particularly by disrupting the supply of drinking water, a Seth Pirith Chanting Ceremony was organized by the staff of the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant under the guidance of the Deputy General Manager (Western Production) of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board. The ceremony was held on 10 April 2026 at the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant premises to invoke blessings for the current drought to end, for timely rainfall, and to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the Ambatale Water Treatment Plant.
