Preliminary monitoring activities focusing on the reduction of Non-Revenue Water (NRW), centered on the Galle area, were successfully carried out on 09 January 2026.
The programme was conducted with the participation of the Chairman and the General Manager of the National Water Supply and Drainage Board, Mr. Herath, Additional General Manager (Southern), the Assistant General Manager (Southern), the Galle Area Manager, Project Director Engineer Ms. Jeevika Prabodhini, Mr. Nisa Manjula, along with other officers and officials.
This initiative represents a significant step taken by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board towards minimizing water losses and ensuring efficient and sustainable water management.
