A Water Conservation and Behavioural Change Awareness Programme was successfully conducted on 06 July 2026 at Meera Balika Maha Vidyalaya (National School), Kattankudy, Batticaloa, under the guidance of the Regional Manager – Batticaloa and facilitated by the NWSDB Sociologist.
The programme educated students and staff on:

💧 Safe household water storage practices
💧 The consumer’s role in implementing the Water Safety Plan (WSP)
💧 Benefits of timely water bill payments and NWSDB customer e-services
💧 The importance of adopting water-saving practices to address the challenges posed by the prevailing El Niño conditions
