Backhoe Loader was Donated by European Union (EU)/ Agence Francaise de Development (AFD) as a grant for the Sewerage Operation and Maintenance of NWSDB
A 29.5 million rupees backhoe loader machine with accessories was donated by European Union (EU)/ Agence Francaise de Development (AFD) as a grant for the use of sewerage operation and maintenance work in the National Water Supply & Drainage Board.
According to that, the machine was handed over to the Manager (Jayawadanagama), Eng. S.N. Fernando with the participation of Additional General Manager (Water Reclamation), Eng. N.H.D.P. Dharmapala and Project Director (SHIFT) of Eng. L.K.M.C.B. Jayawardana on 01.02.2023.
The NWSDB express its sincere gratitude for continue support extend by EU/AFD for enhancing water supply and sanitation facilities in the country.

NWSDB inaugurated the Center of Excellence for Water and Sanitation (Cewas)
The National Water Supply and Drainage Board of Sri Lanka inaugurated the center of excellence for water and sanitation (Cewas) at the opening ceremony of the International Water Conference 2022.
Present to commemorate this historic event was the minister of health and water supply Hon. Dr. Keheliya Rambukwella and state minister of the water ministry Hon. Sanath Nishantha in the presence of members of the diplomatic corps and the respective funding agencies.
ගරු සනත් නිශාන්ත මැතිතුමා ජල සම්පාදන රාජ්ය අමාත්ය ධුරයේ රාජකාරී කටයුතු අද දින (09)ආරම්භ කරන ලදි.
