The Policy & Planning Division of the National Water Supply & Drainage Board (NWSDB) plays a key role in the organization.

We work on a wide range of tasks, including:

• Developing and implementing policies and strategies that ensure safe, sustainable water supply and sanitation services across Sri Lanka.

• Conducting project appraisal meetings to assess the feasibility and impact of new initiatives to National Water Supply & Drainage Board.
• Reviewing and adjusting water tariffs to maintain fair and efficient pricing for consumers.
• Works related with NWSDB Act amendment and Institutional Reforms

• Overseeing corporate planning, which includes long-term strategic planning and project design.
• Collaborating with international delegates and donor agencies to secure funding and technical support for water supply and sanitation projects.
• Coordinating with the Environmental and Social Unit to ensure all projects meet sustainability and social inclusion standards.
